The Backstory

I grew up in Hahnville, Louisiana and was living in the 9th Ward of New Orleans until Katrina left my house under nine feet of water. After that, I found myself in Nashville, where I joined an incredible church called The Anchor Fellowship and began leading the youth group there as well as attending their school of ministry. Community, anti-materialism, and servanthood has always been at the core of my faith, so it wasn't too long before my friends Matt, Luke, Sarah, and I came up with the idea to start a community house. I lived there for a little over a year, watching it grow from an idea in our heads to a thriving family of people in a huge two-story house with a basement welding workshop and about a hundred bikes in the yard. After that, God put it on my heart to take what I had learned from my three years in Nashville and apply it to the city that I've always loved and hoped to return to.

What I'll Be Doing

- Co-leading the weekly bible study at Cafe Envie with Nikki
- Overseeing our bicycle repair ministry
- Being the go-to fix-it guy
- Cooking gratuitous amounts of crawfish tasso pasta for our homeless outreach and community meals

Lagniappe

I really like, in no particular order:
DC comics, zombies, Cajun culture, bicycles, Lord of the Rings, tattoos, swimming, boxer dogs, music, King David, philadelphia rolls, and the smell of burning metal.
